Moscow.- 0.1% of people who were vaccinated against the coronavirus in Moscow, that is, about 1,000 citizens, have contracted covid-19, the vast majority of them mildly, official sources reported this Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Mayor’s Office, more than 76% of the positives fell ill “mildly or asymptomatically.”

The note, cited by the Interfax agency, specifies that it is about the citizens who received the two components of an anticovid vaccine, without specifying the name of the preparation.

The authorities recall that the generation of antibodies against the infection is an individual process, so they ask the population to continue adopting precautionary measures against the virus.

Currently, Russia has three vaccines against the coronavirus: Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and CoviVac.

In the Russian capital, the immunization of the population with Sputnik V began in December last year and so far about a million people have been vaccinated, according to the latest official data, corresponding to last week.

The Russian capital continues to be the main focus of the epidemic in Russia, with 1,286 new cases during the last day.

In total, since the outbreak of the pandemic last March, 4,545,095 positives have been registered in the country, 1,026,740 of them in Moscow.
