A worker killed in an accident in Hidroituango

On the morning of this Tuesday, February 21, from EPM (Public Enterprises of Medellin) One person has been reported dead amid a traffic accident involving a bus, from the contracting company ATB Riva Calzoniwhich was mobilized by one of the access roads to the structure in the center hydroituango. The road accident also resulted 16 injured.

“I deeply regret the death of one of our subcontractors in Hidroituango. My prayers for him and his family,” said the mayor of Medellin, Daniel Quintero, via his Twitter account. According to the press release issued by the EPM, the deceased man lost his life while he was mobilized in a care center. As revealed by the newspaper El Colombiano, the death was identified as Villa Juan Carlos. He was from the municipality of San Andrés De Cuerquia and served as controller.

“The Company has activated the protocol for urgent Care and the injured are transferred to medical centers in the region and in Medellín. The EPM deplores the death of this worker and expresses its condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Authorities are at the scene of the accident to conduct investigations,” the company wrote in the document it released.
