According to information provided by the city’s firefighters and some residents of the area, the hole in which the citizen fell is about two to three meters deep.

The blow suffered by the woman was quite strong. Several people who were there approached to try to help him, but at first it was impossible because of the depth of the network box in which he fell.

The official Cali Fire Department went to the scene to attend to the emergency. However, the rescue work was not so simple or quick.

According to the information known to date, the firefighters it took over an hour work to get the woman out of the sewer.

Because of the violent blow suffered by the citizen, she suffered numerous lacerations, particularly on her hands. But it was not the only or the most serious, after being transferred to a care center located in the south of Cali, it was learned that the woman had a fracture in one of her legs.

“Using a tripod and a type of three-in-one rope rescue, this person was extracted from approximately two to three meters deep, suffering a fracture to one of his legs. and lacerations to the hands,” reported Corporal Marco Gómez. , from the official Cali fire department.

“The patient was rescued by firefighters using two fire extinguishers, a life-saving device and an ambulance. This person is referred to a health center south of the city of Santiago de Cali,” added the member of the fire department.

Likewise, Márquez took the opportunity to denounce that in this area of ​​the city there are at least three other sewers without covers.

“As it is located in a whole curve of the pedestrian crossing, my wife did not realize that the sewer had no cover and her body fell and the worst thing is that in this sector there is three uncovered sewers barely a meter apart from each other”, detailed the citizen.
