On March 15, a violent fire in a house in Santa Martha Acatitla in the town hall of Iztapalapa, in Mexico City (CDMX) alerted the inhabitants of the district. Unofficially, it was mentioned that the property was used as a solvent warehouse.

The fire started at a property on José de la Luz Street, according to the Mexico City Heroic Fire Department.

“Following the fire in José de la Luz Street, Pueblo Santa Martha Acatitla, in @Alc_Iztapalapa, we report that a house is burned down in its entirety; We continue to work on site,” the organization said.

The column of black smoke reached a height of about 5 meters, according to preliminary reports.
