In the afternoon of March 14, a violent fire broke out on land near the automobile factory in General Engines in San Luis Potosi (SLP). Due to the incident, at least 1,800 workers were evacuated, according to initial reports.

Civil Protection pointed out that the fire started in a vacant lot next to the car factory, although the cause is unknown.

“The prairie fire is under control on land surrounding the General Motors Company, and emergency forces are already working to liquidate it,” the agency said at around 5:00 p.m.
