Prosecutor Fernández, of the Functional Instruction Unit 1 of Azulordered his immediate arrest for the homicide and removed not only the .44 Magnum revolver with which he committed the act, but also another .38 caliber revolver he had in his vehicle, weapons of which he was the legitimate user.

Echegaray’s autopsy determined that the projectile entered the abdominal region -through the right iliac fossa-, with an exit hole in the left posterior region of the thorax and that, on its way, it injured the liver and caused rupture of the aortic artery, the death of which resulted from hypovolemic shock. After passing through the victim, the projectile became embedded in the front bumper of the inmate’s truck.
