A family took their sick dog to a beach in Manzanillo, Mexico, for his farewell and the video went viral on social media. The animal was affected by a terminal illness in the chronic mitral valve and he had his last moment in a place where he liked to walk.

The story of “Tunka», 11 years old, was shared by the account @paam_patitas on TikTok and YouTube. Her family used to take the dog to the beach and that’s why they decided to let her breathe her last breath there (traveled from Mexico City to Guadalajara).

“We say goodbye to our 11-year-old dog in his favorite place, the sea,” they wrote in the video, hinting that it would have been the animal’s wish.

Before this idea, the family went to consult a cardiologist, who informed them that unfortunately “Tunka” was in its final stages, due to the fact that even a transplant would not change the degenerative health problem. In this sense, the dog no longer ate, no longer walked, could no longer drink water or breathe well.

Through painting, they decided to put her down on the beachso you can smell the sand and hear the sound of the sea. Finally, the veterinarian approaches her to give her the injection and thus end her suffering, while the family surrounds her with tears and of caresses.

So far, the video has over two million views, over 230,000 likes and thousands of comments from users who have expressed their excitement at experiencing a similar situation.
