NEW YORK (AP) — Carlos Santiago of the Miami Marlins has been suspended for 80 games and free agent pitcher Dalton Moats has been banned for 50 games for violating the minor league drug program.

Santiago tested positive for stanozolol, a substance that aids athletic performance, while Moats engaged in recreational drug use for the second time, the commissioner’s office reported on Friday.

At 21, Santiago was on Jacksonville’s Class A roster after hitting .264 with five home runs and 28 RBIs for the Marlins and Jacksonville in the Florida Complex League.

Moats, a 27-year-old southpaw, went 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in 51 games for Triple-A Durham of Tampa Bay. In November, he decided to be a free agent.

Four teams have been penalized under the minor league program this year.

Last year, there were 50 suspensions from the minor league drug program and seven from the major league program: San Diego shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. was banned for 80 games, while Milwaukee pitcher JC Mejía and Brewers receiver Pedro Severino were also penalized 80 games each.

Baltimore pitcher Matt Harvey received a 60-game ban, while outfielder/first baseman Danny Santana, pitcher Richard Rodríguez, and infielder José Rondón received 80-game bans.
