Spotify rolls out offline listening on Apple Watch

In November 2020, Spotify finally launched its dedicated application for the Apple Watch. Users with an Apple Watch LTE could therefore finally stream their music from Spotify, even if they did not have their iPhone with them. The music streaming platform announced some time after the upcoming arrival of offline playback.

Deployment in waves, which may take some time

Today, a report from Gadgets and Wearables reveals that Spotify has started rolling out this feature. The article suggests that the deployment is taking place in successive waves. In other words, if you do not yet have access to said functionality, do not panic. It’s only a matter of time before it hits your device.

You will also need to make sure that you have the latest version of Spotify installed on your device. To do this, head to the App Store. Download and install the latest version if you haven’t already.

That being said, also be aware that there are some limitations with offline listening and downloads. For starters, users can only download a maximum of 50 songs per playlist.

You must also be a Spotify Premium subscriber to use this feature. If you are not subscribed, you will not be able to listen to your music in offline mode. Pity.
