On April 5, the voice chat service Clubhouse announced on its blog that it will start offering the first monetization function for creators. It is the first feature that allows creators to receive payments directly.
It is said that all users can use the same function for remittance. On the other hand, we plan to start providing receipts for small test groups and gradually expand them. We’ll get feedback, tweak the features, and provide them to all users in the near future.
The sender needs a VISA or MasterCard credit card. The creator must have the receiving function enabled.
The entire amount of the remittance will reach the creator, and the remittance side will be charged a card settlement fee. The fee will be paid directly to payment processing partner Stripe, and Clubhouse will not receive anything.
