Werner Vogels, Amazon’s chief technology officer, announced at the AWS reInvent concluding in Las Vegas (USA) his highly anticipated annual list of technology predictions for 2024.
Vogels emphasized in his predictions, from culturally aware artificial intelligence (AI), innovative advances in FemTech and the evolution of technology education.

Main trends revealed in AWS reInvent for 2024
Generative AI becomes culturally aware: today, large language models (LLMs) are trained primarily on English-language data and therefore exhibit cultural biases. As training includes increasingly diverse datasets, enhanced by methods such as reinforced learning from AI feedback (RLAIF) and multi-agent discussions, these models are expected to learn from each other and reach a more refined understanding of cultural nuances, thus presenting a broader and more global perspective.
FemTech finally takes off: women in an industry that has long overlooked them are gaining well-deserved attention. With greater access to unique healthcare data and advances in cloud technologies, investments are increasing and are poised to unlock better diagnostics and outcomes for patients.
