Tonny Sanabria denounced on social networks that he had been harassed for his confrontation with the ’10’ and insisted that at no time did he spit on the Argentine: “See all the images.”

Argentina’s 1-0 win over Paraguay at the Monumental (1-0) was overshadowed by the tense moment between Leo Messi and former Betis player Tonny Sanabria. In the 84′ minute, after several actions of contact, a verbal confrontation took place that ended with an alleged ‘spit’ from the Paraguayan to the Argentine crack that has given a lot to talk about.Evidently, this episode did not end at the conclusion of the match despite the fact that the two protagonists settled the matter with their statements in the mixed zone and transcended to social networks, where the matter took a very different turn.

After the clash, Sanabria denied that he had spat on him and Messi played it down, but not without sending a dart at the Paraguayan. “Nothing happened. Things of the match, as they happen so many times. It looks like I spit on him, but it’s because the image is seen from behind. But nothing to do with it. It wasn’t like that. I totally deny it. It is far away. Impossible,” said the former Betis player, who later heard the words of the ’10’: “They told me in the locker room that one of them had spit on me, but I don’t know who he is. I don’t know who this guy is… I didn’t see him. But I don’t want to give him importance either, because now he’s going to talk everywhere and it’s worse. It’s going to become known… It’s better to leave it there”.

Unfortunately, then came the serious threats by Argentine fans to the Guarani, who denounced it on his Instagram account and again explained what happened with a message. “I am obliged to come out to deny what happened last night, for the simple fact of seeing my family affected and for receiving multiple threats for an event that never happened,” commented a concerned Sanabria, who insisted that, in no case, would he attack another footballer in this way. “I would never do anything like that towards any fellow professional or any person out of respect. What example would I be setting for my daughters by committing such an act? I recommend that they see all the images,” said the Paraguayan.

In the last few hours, a new shot of the incident has come to light that somewhat proves Sanabria right, insofar as it can be seen that there is a considerable distance between them and that the spitting, if it had occurred, did not impact Messi in any way.
