Neymar fixes things with Leonardo

Leonardo-Neymar: ‘We must fix things says Neymar

Neymar’s statements to DAZN in which he assured that 2022 would be his last World Cup has generated a stir in France, to the point of speculation that he was also going to leave PSG before the end of his contract. However, the intention of the Brazilian star is to fulfill his contract with the Parisians, which expires in 2025, in addition to having called Leonardo to explain himself for the interview he gave to DAZN.

According to L’Équipe, Neymar called Leonardo to reassure him and to explain that the interview spoke only about the Brazilian team and not about a possible withdrawal from the world of football. The PSG sports director had been concerned, since he did not understand that, after having renewed him until 2025 a few months ago, he was considering the fact of hanging up his boots with only 29 years.

Neymar’s start to the season has not started in the best possible way. The midfielder has been harshly criticized in France for his performance during the first days and for his little collective commitment to PSG, in addition to his behavior off the pitch. At the moment, the player’s goal remains to win the Champions League in 2022 and the World Cup with which he could safely retire from the international scene.
