The San Francisco 49ers remain undefeated in the NFL after defeating the New York Giants 30-12, but the game took a back seat to a violent brawl in the stands at Levi’s Stadium between men and women. This is at least the third such incident in 2023 inside the sports venue

San Francisco 49ers Maintain Undefeated Streak Amid Violent Brawl at Levi’s Stadium

This early in the NFL season, violence in the stadiums is becoming the prevailing trend among fans. Last Thursday night, a San Francisco 49ers fan caused great controversy by assaulting a woman in the stands of Levi’s Stadium in the middle of a brawl between spectators in which gender was the least important thing.

The altercation occurred during the game in which the 49ers crushed the New York Giants 30-12. Images and videos of the violent fight involving men and women went viral through social networks.

In the video, you can see how two women wearing the colors of the local team got into a fierce exchange of blows. Later, a man wearing a Richard Sherman jersey entered the scene and began to pull the hair of one of the women.

After one of them fell down the stairs, the fight continued and in the final part of the clip is fully visible the moment when another spectator joins the conflict to throw kicks. So far, the reason for the fight and how the situation ended is unknown.

Violence in U.S. stadiums after the start of the NFL season

This is not the first case of violence at Levi’s Stadium this year. Weeks ago, a brawl broke out in the stands during the preseason game between the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos. With Thursday’s incident, there have now been three violent incidents inside the stadium, considering that months ago, during a match of the Mexican national team in the 2023 Gold Cup, a spectator was stabbed.

At the end of August, a wild mass knife fight broke out in which two people were injured inside the renowned burger restaurant “In-N-Out Burger” in Santa Clara, California, after a preseason game that the San Francisco 49ers won by a score of 23-12 over the Los Angeles Chargers at Levi’s Stadium.

Last week, a fan died at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts during the New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins game. Although the circumstances have not been clarified and are under police investigation, witnesses described seeing a man fall after being punched hard.
