Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points and the Cleveland Cavaliers held a double-digit lead for most of their 118-107 victory Friday over the New Orleans Pelicans to extend their winning streak to five games.

Evan Mobley scored 28 and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Jarrett Allen added 20 points and had 11 boards for Cleveland, which halted a three-game winning streak for New Orleans.

The Cavs shot 56.5% (48-of-85) and outscored the Pelicans 70-58 in the paint and 41-34 in rebounds.

Brandon Ingram finished with 25 points, his fourth straight game with at least that much scoring, for the Pelicans, while Trey Murphy scored 17 and CJ McCollum, 12.

Cleveland was one of three teams that made no signings before the trade deadline Thursday afternoon, a decision that seemed to endorse its 22-point first-half lead. They were up by as many as 25 at the break and their lead didn’t dip below 20 until the closing stages, when most of their starters were already resting on the bench.
