Defending champion Novak Djokovic will be in the same group as local favorite Jannik Sinner at the ATP Finals in Turin and will need to win just one match to finish the year as world number one.

The draw for the season-ending eight-player tournament was held on Thursday. Djokovic will face Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune, as well as Sinner in the round-robin Green Group.

Second seed Carlos Alcaraz heads the Red Group, which includes Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev.

Djokovic will be trying to win this tournament for the seventh time after not losing a match since losing in the Wimbledon final to Alcaraz in July. He currently shares the win record with Roger Federer.

Zverev has won the tournament twice, while Medvedev and Tsitsipas have one win each.

The tournament starts on Sunday and the final is scheduled for November 19.
