Correa rejoins group; Memphis continues his recovery

Ángel Correa, Atlético de Madrid’s striker, rejoined the group this Friday, after overcoming an indisposition, and will be ready for next Sunday’s match against Barcelona at Camp Nou, in which he will start and in which the serious doubt remains Memphis Depay, once he continued on the sidelines with his recovery from the muscle injury suffered three weeks ago.

The Argentine attacker, moreover, is shaping up to be the starter up front, alongside Antoine Griezmann, in a lineup that, in principle, will be composed in the rest of the lines by Jan Oblak, in goal; Nahuel Molina, Stefan Savic, José María Giménez, Mario Hermoso and Yannick Carrasco, in defense; and Rodrigo de Paul, Koke Resurrección and Thomas Lemar, in midfield, in which Marcos Llorente will be absent due to five yellow cards.

Memphis Depay, who was injured on March 29 with the Dutch national team, will not be ready either.

Still recovering from a muscle rupture, he trained again on the sidelines and his inclusion in the squad for the Camp Nou is still in doubt. If he is not available, he would join Llorente, Geoffrey Kondogbia -also suspended- and Reinildo Mandava, out through injury until next season due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Atletico will finalize their preparation this Saturday with a new morning training session at the Ciudad Deportiva de Majadahonda, before heading to Barcelona in the afternoon.
