Conmebol issued a statement hours before the Copa América final between Argentina and Brazil. The entity that regulates South American football reported that it detected “a considerable amount of fraudulent Covid-19 (PCR) tests, from attendees both in the Argentine tribune and in the Brazilian tribune,” and it announced that all of them “will not be able to enter the stadium”.
In this sense, the South American Football Confederation also warned that the controls for entry to the final “will be extremely rigorous, as well as the application of health protocols and prevention measures ”.
It is worth remembering that each of attendees must present the laboratory test with a negative result to be able to access the final of the Copa América.
“No exception will be made. It is recommended to carry the printed result on paper at all times for better verification and to avoid mishaps. CONMEBOL analyzes the possibility of increasing controls if necessary”, closed the statement.
