The anniversary of the absence of the public in Balaídos due to the pandemic is about to be completed, the Vigo stadium will receive its first fans in this Friday’s match against Elche. It will be virtually thanks to the pioneering initiative promoted by the Spanish startup ‘Book Your Stadium’ in collaboration with the Olívico group.

This new campaign, which has been baptized as ‘Selfie Stadium’, will allow a virtual approach between the team and the fans during the matches. The fans only have to send a photo with a message of encouragement before the match and those images will appear on the stadium’s television U and on the video scoreboard At different times. In this way, Coudet’s pupils will receive the encouragement of 350 fans, who will be selected by lottery.

Celta will be one of the peripheral clubs to carry out this initiative, to which Valencia, Valladolid and other teams will join in the coming weeks.. “With Selfie Stadium we want the celestial fan to feel close to the players despite the current situation. At the club we are working to open other ways to experience football and our club,” says Celta’s commercial director, Carlos Salvador.
