Jayne Rivera clarified that the photos were taken “with the best of intentions in a way that my father would have approved if he had been alive”

It could be a distasteful Halloween joke, but the truth is that it is a real fact. Jayne Rivera, an influencer from the United States, wanted to communicate to her more than 85,000 Instagram followers the sad news of her father’s death, and she could not think of a better way to do it than to pose in front of the open coffin with her father’s body.

Dressed in an asymmetrical black dress, the twenty-year-old girl published several photographs with her father’s coffin a week after his death and the following message: “Butterfly flies away. Rip Daddy, you were my best friend. A life well lived”.

A post that her followers did not like, who quickly criticized her attitude and denounced the influencer’s photographs, so her Instagram account was deleted, but by then these images already spread like wildfire on social networks and soon became viral due to the bizarre print.

Interviewed by NBC News, the American assured that he had understood “the negative reception” of her followers, but clarified that the photos were taken “with the best of intentions in a way that my father would have approved of had he been alive”.

“Everyone handles the loss of a loved one in their own way.; some are more traditional, while others may seem taboo,” the young woman said in a statement on Wednesday.

“For me, I treated the celebration as if my father were by my side, posing for the camera as he had done on many previous occasions,” she said. And it is that, as revealed, each one lives the duel in their own way.
