The world of acting and entertainment is in mourning. On the last Monday, November 29, the actor Sebastian Boscan, died at the age of 41. The artist is well remembered for his role in the series’Passion of Hawks‘.

The journalist Carlos Ochoa announced the event through his Instagram account and shared an emotional message where he regretted the departure of the Colombian artist.

The reason for his death would be a stomach cancer with which he had been fighting for years. Following his death, many network users paid tribute to his memory and remembered him for his role as ‘Leandro’ in the telenovela ‘Pasión de Gavilanes’.

Getting into the skin of the particular character made him achieve success, although it did not necessarily bring him the benefits he wanted.

WHY DID HE HATE HIS CHARACTER IN THE PASSION OF GAVILANES?

On some occasions, the Colombian artist pointed out that he felt a certain dissatisfaction with the character of ‘Leandro’. A little over a year ago, Sebastian Boscan was invited to the ‘Bravíssimo’ program where he spoke about his new projects, the casting he went to and all the experiences that happened. The presenters even asked him about his role as’ Leandro’ in ‘Passion of Hawks’.

During the first part of the interview, the hosts presented him with some greetings that were sent by part of the cast of the remembered series to the actor.

He said that ‘Leandro’ closed several doors on him despite his supposed popularity. “Leandro made me known in 120 countries. I have not traveled much, but in Argentina I got a job thanks to that character, they write to me from Baghdad, from Kosovo, from Paraguay; They write to me from all sides,” he said.

TWO KEY MOMENTS THAT PLAYED HIM AGAINST

Sebastián Boscán assured that that point in favor played against him in the matter of age with the other actors of ‘Pasión de Gavilanes’, to whom the years passed the most due to the youthful appearance of the character he played.

“(Leandro) was 22 years old and I was 32, nowadays they tell me ‘how are you’, the remembered Colombian artist told the conductors as a joke.

The second aspect that played against him was that he took hatred of his character from ‘Leandro’, because many people moved away and he even lost communication with them.

“I hated him because thanks to that character they stopped calling me for a long time. Let’s say the character was very credible so people didn’t recognize me. They said ‘no, I don’t want that crazy girl in this soap opera, how lazy,'” he said.

HE WAS NOT RECOGNIZED IN CASTING

The peculiar fashion designer and older brother of the character ‘Benito’ in the series of the Kings and the Elizondo, pointed out that on one occasion he appeared to audition at a casting and when saying his name almost no one could recognize him, so saw the need to present himself as the artist who played ‘Leandro’ in the production of Telemundo, ‘Passion of Hawks’.

HOW DID YOU MAKE THE PASSES WITH ‘LEANDRO’?

Not everything was bad because the situation felt favorable over the years. Due to the restrictions of the pandemic, the novel was broadcast in mid-2020 and in the interview with ‘Bravíssimo’, he reconciled with the character and loved him again. “When I dressed as ‘Manola’ the rating skyrocketed. People love that character. And I also. I hated him at one point, but now I already have affection for him, ”he revealed.

WHAT OTHER ROLES DID YOU PLAY?

Although it is true, the Colombian actor became well known with his character of ‘Leandro’ in ‘Pasión de Gavilanes’, he also played other unique characters such as Francisco in’ Los Victorinos’, Octavio in ‘Chica Vampiro’ and Alejandro Santana in ‘ The law of the heart ‘, where he not only did a good acting performance, but also continued to win the affection of the entire public.
