Former soccer player Iker Casillas and journalist Sara Carbonero separate. It has been confirmed exclusively by Lecturas magazine, but rumors of his estrangement have been circulating for a long time.

Two days ago, the journalist published on her Instagram an image of a field of daisies and a phrase by Van Gogh that perhaps today, with the confirmation of the break, is better understood: “Normality is a paved road. It is comfortable to walk on but flowers will never grow on it.”

And it seems that the 11 years of relationship and almost 5 of marriage have not survived the wear and tear and crises, although both have been the support of the other in the worst moments, such as when Sara was admitted a month ago for a relapse of her Cancer.

Just a week ago, the couple enjoyed a relaxed lunch in one of the best-known restaurants in the capital with their great friend Isabel Jiménez.
