The singers Tini Stoessel and Becky G put the feminine power to the MTV MIAW 2022 Awards by becoming not only the most applauded of the night, but they were also awarded at the event dedicated to recognizing the talent of pop culture in all its expressions.

The excessive screams by Tini Stoessel were the most intense of the night and did not stop playing in her honor until the Argentine singer dressed the stage in purple to sing “La triple t” and her cumbia “Miénteme”. For her part, Becky G, who was the presenter of the awards, was also one of the most beloved by the public and also received the characteristic pink kitten of the award for the Viral Anthem category thanks to her song with Karol G. , “Mommy”. “I didn’t know anything, I feel super blessed and grateful to share the success of this song with another G, Karol G, I love you friend, and more to be here in Mexico where my roots are from,” said Becky G. But the masculine vibe was also present since the award ceremony began with the shouts of the audience that witnessed the appearance of Natanael Cano on stage when she performed “Soy el diablo” and “Nataaoki”, her song with DJ Steve Aoki. Other male figures who participated with musical numbers were Manuel Turizo, who performed “La bachata”, and Moderatto, who filled the place with nostalgia with RBD covers.

The event had a moment of social reflection by presenting the two Transforma MIAW awards, a recognition that the trans activist Natalia Lane received and in her speech she took the opportunity to remember the Stonewall Revolt, in the United States, and the impact of said event history to the present in which fairer times are lived for the members of the LGBT community.

“Remember that we always bloom before hate, trans women are women, trans men are men, non-binary people exist and LGBT lives matter,” Lane said.

Likewise, the indigenous activist Mitzy Violeta Cortés, another of those recognized by the Trasforma MIAW, issued a speech of resistance and defense of indigenous territories, and raised her voice for the activists killed in their struggle.

Other winners were Kevin Kaarl, who took the Artist in the crosshairs award, JD Pantoja as Creator of the year, Danna Paola with the title of Celebrity Crush, Karol G as MIAW Artist, and even Bad Bunny obtained the Styler of the year.
