Luisa Sonza loved Ana Carolina’s lesbian version of her song “Chico” at the singer’s concert in São Paulo on Friday night (21). Luisa wrote the song for her ex-boyfriend, Chico Veiga, and Ana ‘adapted the lyrics’.

On the web, the singer from Rio Grande do Sul wrote: “We love you, Ana Carolina!”

In the new “Chico”, Ana Carolina says she has wonderful friends to introduce her to. She goes on to sing: “I have some friends who are wonderful, I’ll introduce you. As Chico was cachaça, but with a ‘sapata’ it’s going to be a quentão… Luísa, if you want, there are many women to sign with you”.

The song

The song composed by Luisa became a hit and was the most listened to song on the Spotify platform. There were more than 25 million plays. “Chico” reached Spotify’s Global Top 30 at the beginning of September. Luísa Sonza climbed 35 places and reached position 27 in the daily ranking with the song.

Luísa Sonza announces the end of her relationship with Chico Moedas

She announced her break-up on Ana Maria Braga’s show (watch above). Luísa read a text before the program started.

“It’s not just about me, it’s much more about everything I’ve seen since I was a child and the place it takes me. It’s not about an isolated act. It’s about a structure, a story that we see repeated many times, with many women,” said Luísa.

Already very emotional, she took out her cell phone and read the text in full. Crying, Luísa mentioned the betrayal in a bar and stressed that she had chosen to break a cycle for all women. And she said that she will still experience love:

“It’s unbearable that betrayal, the breaking of agreements, respect, trust, zeal, care, continues to be normalized. A one-off mistake. Only those who have been betrayed know the pain they feel, the pain that comes with what is called a one-off mistake. The destroyed self-esteem, the doubt, the insecurity that something like this causes. Betrayal makes you invalidate yourself, makes you feel stupid, dumb, a clown, a fool. It’s a pain that’s impossible to explain. It’s a breach of trust, it’s the fear of believing in people, it’s a dream destroyed, it’s all your commitment, your zeal, care and love thrown away.”

“Too intense? Too intense is someone who gives up everything they’ve promised, proposed, built as a couple for a moment in a dirty bar bathroom. Otherwise, it’s just love, admiration, respect, surrender. When you’re betrayed, you even question your capacity for discernment for having believed and fallen for the lie that usually comes not only before, but after the betrayal. As if the betrayal wasn’t enough, they make us out to be crazy and laugh at our intuition. They literally say that reality is a detail to you, invalidating everything we think, believe, see, everything that is real.”

“Today you don’t win. Today, I break the cycle for my mother, for my aunts, for all the women I’ve seen all my life being betrayed and often having nowhere else to go, ending up having to stay with a betrayer in the house. Today, I choose myself, even though it hurts, even though sometimes I don’t want to, even though I still love you, today I protect myself and I won’t protect you.”

“Even if I want to, because you didn’t protect me that night in that bar, even if I wanted you to. Today I say goodbye to you, for me and for all of us. And before I go, I want to tell you that choosing not to be with you anymore isn’t about living bitterness instead of love, as you told me. I will live love, it just won’t be with you.”
