Claudia Jesse, who plays Eloise in Bridgeton, has commented that she will be furious when she finds out who Lady Whistledown really is.

A key actress in Bridgeton’s cast has revealed what we can expect from her character in the second season of the ‘most-watched’ show on Netflix.

Filmed in Bristol, Bath and Somerset, the period drama has recently been renewed for a second season following the immense success of the first season, which documented Daphne’s relationship with the Duke of Hastings and the gossip writer’s revelation. Of the Regency, Lady Whistledown.

The second season will follow Anthony Bridgerton’s love story with Miss Kate Sharma, who will play Simone Ashley from Sex Education.

But it will also focus on Anthony’s younger sister, Eloise Bridgerton, who is hoping to make her debut in society in the footsteps of her older sister, Daphne.

Claudia Jesse, who plays Eloise, reflects on how her character will make an impact in the show’s second season.

I think of Eloise all the time. I think of how much fun it would have been to be exposed to own her life. First of all, I would like to see his debut, because he is going to do it and it is going to change things and basically it is going to bother him a lot. I’m excited about it.

But I’d really love to see Eloise really own every space she’s in.

She had this vision that her sister was the perfect rookie, and then Eloise comes crashing down with her own personality. She is given a little more freedom to be herself, with Phoebe ( Daphne Bridgerton ) in a high-status relationship, Eloise is given a little more space.

Regarding whether her character finds out that Lady Whistledown is her best friend on the show, Claudia Jessie said:

Eloise not knowing who Lady Whistledown is! She is going to be mad! I just can’t imagine what that will be like.

It is a great shock for a friendship.

You have this woman, this character, this mysterious writer that Eloise is basically a bit in love with, and wants to be her best partner, who has been lying to her, writing about her family, and causing scandals. For me, that’s the most attractive thing in the world.

Besides, whatever Lady Danbury and the queen do, whatever they do, I’ll be watching. I do not mind. I’ll watch them eat toast. I’ll see you guys look at a cup of tea. I will see them blow their noses and they will have touched me.
