Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black’s last romantic date with her husband Tom Daley has ended with the appearance on the scene of the London police after he threw a drink on a woman in a nightclub and she responded with a punch.
The other party involved in this whole story is a well-known celebrity in the UK for her work as an event planner and for also appearing on the BBC3 program ‘The Big Proud Party Agency’. According to her version of events, she invited the couple to sit at her table when they met at Freedom, a gay bar in Soho, and bought them several drinks.
Things took a turn for the worse when a man Teddy calls “a weird guy” joined them and she called security to be forced to leave after one of her friends complained that her presence made him uncomfortable. . That’s when Dustin allegedly lost her papers and accused her of making him feel unwelcome before throwing the contents of her glass in her face.
“I didn’t have a drink to give her back so I went for violence, but it wasn’t that big of a deal, she just got a little hit on the head,” Teddy explained. “Let’s see why she’s crying out of it saying it’s a targeted attack and she’s traumatized, and why she called the police.”
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police has confirmed to The Sun newspaper that the officers were called to the premises just before 12:30 a.m. on Thursday for “an altercation between a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s”, although they did not no arrest was made.
Teddy doesn’t understand why Dustin didn’t just get up and walk away, but at least he has defended the athlete: “I have to add that Tom Daley was charming the whole time and was trying to defuse the situation.”
