Doja Cat got a new tattoo and her followers did not stop criticizing her

The design has led the rapper’s fans to speculate about a possible relationship with Satanism.

Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, better known as Doja Cat, once again generated a scandal in networks with the photograph of a new tattoo. Through her Instagram stories, the rapper shared this piece that stands out for two things: it covers part of her face and it is a threatening scythe.

In the image, Doja Cat is seen shaved almost completely to make room for the new tattoo. The scythe functions as a kind of frame to her ear, already pierced by several piercings.

The photograph of Dlamini’s new tattoo has generated all kinds of comments, from those who believe that the artist has turned to Satanism to those who consider that she has simply started to lose her mind due to fame.

However, another section has caused a lot of noise, and that is that the photo shows the obvious acne problem that Cat suffers from and that also, she has never tried to hide, as in previous photos on her Instagram, Doja shamelessly shows her face that is affected by this skin disorder. Many X (formerly Twitter) users have joked that Cat should invest in a dermatologist instead of tattoos.

“She needs to stop going to the tattoo store and go to the dermatologist”, “I miss the old Doja Cat”, “it’s symbolic of her dying career”, “is she mentally okay? It’s like she’s trying to get uglier and uglier,” say some of the comments on networks.

The controversial scythe tattoo was done by artist Jersh, who is famous for handling somewhat gloomy designs. Throughout the last year, Cat has been in charge of filling her body with this type of designs; at the beginning of May, the Say So singer showed off a massive tattoo on her back with the skeleton of a bat, and before that, the design of what many considered a demon was also on her forearm.

Apparently, Cat is on an artistic facet in which the morbid is her main obsession. Her Instagram account is full of content that can make more than one uncomfortable, whether illustrations or photographs of the artist herself doing poses or faces that ultimately seek to cause fear and displeasure. This new facet of Dlamini has been considered “Devil Doja” and in fact, it has also caused a lot of expectation in her most loyal followers who expect a new album completely different from what she has shown over the years.

Cat is expected to release her new album on September 1st. A few days ago, the singer-songwriter shared a photo where her silhouette could be seen adorned with a pair of horns, moment in which she earned her new nickname “Devil Doja”. Shortly after, Dlamini shared a series of photographs where she wore a low-cut white blouse and showed off a belt with two scorpions on its buckle. These images were accompanied by an important message: “the album is finished”.

In addition to generating terror in her followers, Doja has also shared musical material in 2023. In June, the single Attention arrived, and in early August, the track Paint The Town Red was released. Both productions have a darker style than her previous albums, so it is likely that they will become part of Doja Cat’s next studio album.
