The king Constantine of Greece has been admitted again, in a hospital in Athens, after having contracted Covid-19, according to the Greek press. The first information indicates that the brother of the Queen Sofia only has mild symptoms, since he has the full vaccination schedule, but his hospitalization has been preferable since last December he suffered pneumonia.

Constantino was admitted last weekend at the Attikón State University Hospital, located in the Haidári area, in Athens, and is being treated at the VI Pathological Clinic of the hospital, directed by Professor Sotiris Tsiodras, a specialist in infectious diseases.

The medical team that treated him a month ago determined that the pneumonia had finally led to a Aspiration pulmonary edema, although at no time did he have to be intubated. At no time did it transpire when the hellenic king, 81 years old, was discharged.

One of the last occasions on which King Constantine of Greece could be seen in public was last October, when he attended the wedding of his son Philippos with Nina Flhor, in Athens, an event that Queen Sofia was not missing, accompanied by her sister, Princess Irene, and Infanta Elena.

Then, King Constantine appeared with health problems, in a wheelchair, although he was happy to be present at the first royal wedding that had been celebrated in Greece for 57 years.

The sixth wave of the coronavirus is being very virulent and has not only affected the Greek royal house, but also in Sweden, the kings Carlos Gustavo and Silvia, as well as Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel, has been infected for the second time, almost a year after its first infection.

Also the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Princess Mary of Denmark have had to go through isolation when affected by the new variant of Covid-19.
