Chiquibaby enjoys the moment she is living after leaving Telemundo
Months ago the hostess left ‘Hoy Día’ and Telemundo, and although she lived a moment of uncertainty, she is now enjoying the new stage of her life as part of TelevisaUnivision, with her radio show that has been on the air for 8 years.
Stephanie Himonidis, better known as Chiquibaby, recently joined the radio and music events division of TelevisaUnivision, and is enjoying this new stage of her life and career, after her departure from Telemundo’s morning show ‘Hoy Dia’.
This is what she confessed in an interview with People En Español, in which she also revealed that she is focused on her family and ‘El Show de Chiquibaby’, which has been on the air for eight years and is now available through Uforia.
“I am very focused on my radio show that just launched on Uforia. My husband and I have invested in radio stations… Tomorrow I would like to have my own radio group and I would like to be the president. Yes it can be done, women in power!” she commented regarding the current state of her professional life.
However, not being on television for the moment, despite her occasional appearances on ‘Despierta América’ and ‘Siéntese Quien Pueda’, has allowed her to spend more quality time with her husband, Gerardo López, and their daughter, Capri Blu.
“I’m enjoying my home, my little girl, my husband. Sometimes I used to get pigeonholed too much in a project or a job, and now being able to travel and do things that I like, to be able to choose my projects gives me a lot of peace of mind and I think that balance has been important,” she said.
In addition, she talked about the importance they have in her life. “My husband and Capri Blu are the most important things for me. I wake up every day with the illusion of seeing my daughter, of living with her and sharing these experiences with my husband.”
She also mentioned that her attitude was what allowed her to move forward after her dismissal from Telemundo. “When you least think, it’s behind me. I have always tried to be a woman with very positive energy and optimism. I get up and say: ‘Keep going, you can do it. That has gotten me out of difficult moments,” she said.
