Carmen Salinas died on the night of Thursday, December 9, after a month ago she was admitted to a hospital in Mexico City after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
After confirming her death, actors, singers, politicians and celebrities who worked with her took to social networks to dedicate emotional farewell messages.
Juan Osorio, famous Mexican producer, was one of the first to speak. “This night will be remembered with great sadness, Carmelita Salinas, you are already with God. Leaving us his great legacy. RIP”, wrote on his personal Twitter account.
Eugenio Derbez shared an unpublished photograph along with an emotional message in which he recalled the moments he lived with the actress in “The Valet”, a film that has not yet made it to the big screen, but it is expected that soon the entire public will be able to enjoy the unique performance of Salinas.
“Today we have to say goodbye to a woman who, without a doubt, made history on television and film in Mexico. With her joy and love, she filled any place where she was and infected all of us who were fortunate enough to know her and work with her and that is how I will remember her. To her family I express my deepest condolences. There is no way not to feel deep sadness. QDEP my adored Carmelita Salinas,” he wrote.
“The photo I share with you is from this year. I had the joy and honor of working with her on what would be her last film: The Valet. She played the role of my mother and I can assure you that it is one of her best jobs”, he added.
The actress Maribel Guardia said goodbye to Salinas thanking her for all the support she gave her.
“Fly high my beloved Carmen Salinas and thank you for all the support you gave me, for the fun talks, for the stories, the tears and the laughter. Thank you for standing up for me, and for supporting me. You stay in our hearts,” Maribel Guardia wrote next to a photograph where she appears hugging Salinas.
“The pain of your departure is immense, but the love you leave between us is infinite. We will always carry you in our hearts”, said Andrea Legarreta on her personal Instagram account.
The singer and actress Ninel Conde was surprised by the news: “Omg, it can’t be, please. God”, wrote on her Twitter account.
“In the arms of the Creator is Carmelita Salinas”, wrote Edgar Vivar on his social networks.
Gloria Trevi said: “My heart was already telling me that you had been gone a long time agoYou missed your son so much but you waited patiently for God’s times, I imagine you happy and I keep the memory of all your love and your courage to defend those you love, I love you, comadre”.
Pepillo Origel shared a photo with Salinas with the message: “My dear Carmen Salinas. Rest in peace”.
