The actor Antonio Resines has been admitted since yesterday in the Intensive Care Unit of the Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital for catching coronavirus, according to the newspaper ABC.
His condition is stable, although he remains in the intensive surveillance unit to recover from the infection. The interpreter is not intubated and only needs oxygen.
According to the same source, Resines had already received the third booster vaccine, which has not prevented this contagion from putting him at risk. The new omicron variant, in this sixth wave, is breaking contagion records.
After beating its record for new infections for the second day in a row (60,041, almost half per omicron), the Spanish government announced yesterday that the use of a mask outdoors is mandatory again.
