Yesterday was an important afternoon for Sonsoles Ónega. The journalist premiered a new program, “It’s eight o’clock”, on Telecinco, which comes to replace the daily strip of “Secret Story”, withdrawn due to the low audience achieved.

The program received its first guest: Omar montes, but before that, Ónega wanted to dedicate a few words to her network partner, Ana Rosa Quintana. “Let me speak to her today”, said to the winner of “Survivors 2019”.

“Ana Rosa, today I miss your hug, like the one you gave me when we started“ It’s already noon ”. So I dedicate the program to you. Today is for you,” he said. “We dedicate it to you, beautiful one,” added the one from Blessed Bread.

What Sonsoles did not expect is that minutes later the veteran journalist would appear on set to wish her colleague luck. “A person whom we love very much has come to see us today”, advertised Miguel Ángel Nicolás.

Nothing else to see Sonsoles Ónega has broken to cry. “Good luck, congratulations to all. It is wonderful,”said Ana Rosa, dressed in a fitted white suit.

She was very pretty. And Sonsoles has reminded her. “I could not imagine/” Ónega confessed after the brief, but unforgettable visit of her boss -Ana Rosa is in charge of Unicorn Content, the producer of her program. “Her blessing was necessary for this to work. She is number one”, he said.

The challenge assumed by Sonsoles Ónega is not easy. Competing with a successful program recognized as “Pasapalabra”, in the same time slot and which has been a leader on the television grid for years, is not an easy task.

The new space of ‘Ya es noon’ has been presented this Monday with content very similar to ‘Fresh’, with current content that can be seen every afternoon before the start of the 9:00 p.m. newscast with Pedro Piqueras.

On November 2, it was Ana Rosa Quintana herself who announced live on her program that she suffers from breast cancer.

“I think I have to share with you the hardest thing that has happened to me in life and perhaps the most important thing. I started this program when my children were little more than a month old and many things have happened, some wonderful, most of them, but also dislikes because this is life. Today I want to say goodbye for a season, I hope it is not very long, I have detected a carcinoma in a breast. Fortunately, it is localized, there are no metastases, but it requires intense treatment that will keep me away from this set, from these colleagues who are also my family.” She announced with a serious but calm face.

“I hope everything has a happy ending. Research and medicine have advanced a lot in Spain in breast cancer. I want to remind all women of the importance of not missing a review. If I didn’t have such an exposed and stressful job, I could probably continue to share the mornings with you, but you are going to allow me to dedicate myself and my family for once. I know that I am going to heal and that a complicated path will await me”, she confessed.
