The actress, whose birth name is Cassandra Peterson, shared her love story in her new autobiography, “Yours Cruelly, Elvira.”
Peterson writes that decades ago, she was a new mom trying to regain shape at Gold’s Hollywood gym when “I couldn’t help but notice one particular tanned, tattooed, and muscular trainer lurking around the gym, wearing a cap that It came so low on her long brown hair that it almost covered her eyes. ”
“Dark and brooding, he gave off such intense energy that when he crossed the huge gym, the waters parted and people stopped to watch,” he wrote. “Typical sexy bad boy, he wasn’t aware that he was so charismatic that he garnered his own unofficial fan club.”
It turned out that the “sexy bad boy” was actually Teresa “T” Wierson.
Peterson was then married to her manager, Mark Pierson, with whom she shared a son, and she and Wierson became friends.
That friendship turned romantic after Peterson and her husband split up and Wierson, fresh out of her own relationship and rehab with nowhere to go, moved in with Peterson and their son.
After a night out, Peterson wrote that he couldn’t help but kiss Wierson, much to their surprise.
“I had never been interested in women as anything other than friends. I was very confused,” Peterson wrote. “This wasn’t me! I was in a daze from being friends with her for so many years and never noticing our chemistry.”
Because his brand Elvira was so tied to being seductive and sexy to men, Peterson worried that going public about their relationship could damage his brand, writing: “I am well aware that there will be some who will be disappointed and perhaps even angry. But I have to live with myself, and at this point in my life, I have to be honest about who I am. ”
“For the first time in my life I am with someone who makes me feel safe, blessed and truly loved,” she wrote.
