The White House reveals the agenda of the virtual meeting that Putin and Biden will hold this Tuesday

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitri Peskov revealed on Monday that Russia plans to address the growing crisis in bilateral relations with Washington that remain in “very bad shape.”

US President Joe Biden plans to express his concern about the alleged “military activities on the border with Ukraine” during the virtual meeting that he will hold on Tuesday with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, as announced from the White House .

It also reports that the US president plans to “reaffirm US support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.” Among other topics on the agenda, he highlights “strategic stability”, as well as “cyber and regional issues.”

At the same time, from the White House they stressed that Biden had already consulted his European partners who had conveyed their concerns about the “harsh rhetoric of Russia” and had stressed that diplomacy is “the only way to resolve the conflict in Donbass by applying of the Minsk agreements “.

The meeting will take place five months after the first  meeting  face -off between the presidents of both countries, held June 16 in Geneva. On this occasion, however, the meeting will take place through a non-televised videoconference.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitri Peskov revealed on Monday that Russia plans to address the growing crisis in bilateral relations with Washington that remain in “very bad shape.” At the same time, the spokesman said that the Russian side expects the meeting to be “quite broad and long.”

As revealed by Peskov, the leaders are expected to also address the Russian president’s initiative on security guarantees. In this context, he recalled that these “guarantees can only be  bilateral .”

“President Putin is precisely the politician who insists on the  equitable and mutually respectful nature  of bilateral relations,” the Russian presidential spokesman stressed.
