Velkhana was Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’s flagship monster and the expansion’s namesake. Now Iceborne Dragon has arrived in Monster Hunter Rise, bringing some of the strongest ice elemental gear in the game and some of the sharpest armor on the market. Available after reaching Master Rank 10, Velkhana will always test your hunting skills with numerous attacks that deal Iceblight and high damage. Velkhana Weaknesses and Rewards in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
As an Elder Ice Dragon, Velkhana is weaker to Fire damage, but the Dragon element can also be used, albeit slightly less effectively. Edged weapons are also preferred. For afflictions, he is immune to poison, stun, paralysis, sleep, and exhaustion. It is strong against Ice, Water, and Thunderblight, but is still affected by them, and Fireblight has a two-star ERA. If you want to focus on raw damage, Blast is a fantastic state to deal with.
