In the course of yesterday, Microsoft and Netflix officially announced the achievement of a new partnership with the Redmond giant that will take over the task of managing the new system of advertising coming within the new type of subscription, cheaper, of the famous streaming platform.

And given this important agreement, according to what was declared by Laura Martin, senior analyst at Needham, after the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the American company could even attempt the acquisition of Netflix.

In the coming months, Microsoft may decide to acquire Netflix as well

Laura Martin is in fact convinced that such an option would be decidedly appropriate for the streaming platform, given the current situation in which it currently finds itself, with the number of subscribers than in recent months is falling and with the consequent share value of the company which has literally collapsed compared to just a few months ago, precisely at the end of 2021.

And given this situation not exactly simple for Netflix, and thanks to discussions regarding the new system of cheaper subscription, thanks to the inclusion of advertising, Microsoft could spark talk of a complete takeover.

And according to the analyst of Needham, this eventual operation from about 100 billion would not even find who knows what resistance from the various anti-trust entities scattered around the world, this is because many other streaming services are already available on the market such as Amazon Prime Video and Disney+.

Laura Martin then stated the following in an interview with Globe Live Media! Finance:

“Maybe Netflix is looking for an exit. It is trying to get closer to Microsoft in the hope that after it completes the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, it will buy Netflix later.”

Given this situation, we just have to wait for the next few months and see the evolution of the situation, with the colossus of Redmond who could actually get their hands on Netflix in the face of a gigantic operation of 100 billions of dollars.
