A 49-year-old American individual was found dead last Tuesday at his home in Maryland surrounded by about 125 snakes by a neighbor who approached his home after not seeing him since last Monday, according to the ‘New York Post’.

Along with the man were a hundred of these reptiles, some of them poisonous, and the neighbors had no evidence that he had them in his possession. There were pythons, rattlesnakes, cobras and black mambas, according to the police.

Once the authorities and firefighters confirmed the death of the man as soon as they entered his home, his body was taken for an autopsy at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.

The spokeswoman for Charles County Animal Control, Jennifer Harris, wanted to reassure the neighbors explaining that they have not seen that “none of the snakes were not properly secured or could have escaped”.

“It’s the largest collection of snakes the county animal control chief had seen in over 30 years,” Harris added.
