The Islamic Center of San Antonio is offering $200,000 for information leading to the girl’s location. In addition, San Antonio CrimeStoppers said it will give “a guaranteed $50,000 reward, for this case only, for information leading to the arrest or indictment of a suspect accused of any involvement in” Lina’s disappearance.

Lina, who was three years old when she disappeared, was last seen on December 20 after her mother stopped watching her for a few moments in the playground of her family’s apartment complex. When her mother returned, her daughter was missing, according to police.

Lina was last seen wearing a red dress, a black jacket and black shoes, according to police. She weighs 55 pounds (25 kg), she has brown eyes and straight brown hair and is fair in complexion.

San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus tweeted on Saturday that the department was still focused on finding Lina.

“There has been no pause in our efforts. San Antonio Police continue to work with the FBI to find Lina Sardar Khil who went missing on December 20. The investigation is ongoing. Please report any information, no matter how insignificant you might think it is. Call the San Antonio Police Department Missing Persons Section at 210 207-7660,” McManus posted.

Citizen Free Press affiliate WOIA reported that Lina would have been four years old on Sunday, and that a birthday celebration was held at her family’s apartment complex on Fredericksburg Road.

The girl’s family is among the Afghan refugees in San Antonio, and it is unclear when they arrived in the United States, according to Citizen Free Press affiliate KSAT.

In December, McManus said that because of the “suspicious nature” of Lina’s disappearance, police were searching nearby dumpsters and vehicles, as well as her apartment complex.

An FBI underwater search and response team joined the search in early January.
