Nintendo Switch players won’t be the only ones enjoying the joys of the Filoptera in Monster Hunter Rise. Capcom plans to release the game on PC, but it will take patience.
The information was confirmed to us by Capcom during an interview with Yasunori Ichinose and Ryozo Tsujimoto, respectively director and producer of Monster Hunter Rise.
The Japanese firm aims for a release in early 2022 for this PC version, details of which will be communicated later. Monster Hunter World had also been entitled to a release on PC, where it was a great success, evidenced by its presence in the ranking of best sales on Steam in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
In the immediate future, Capcom is preparing the launch of Monster Hunter Rise on Nintendo Switch for March 26. An event will take place on March 8 at 3 p.m. to unveil new information about it.
In the meantime, you can read our preview of this major new episode that introduces the Filoptera, a kind of grappling bug that allows you to propel yourself into the air and use new attacks with each of the 14 types of weapons, the Chumsky, a canine companion that can be used as a mount, and of course new monsters notably inspired by Japanese folklore.
