Tesla Inc said on Monday that the fair market value of a bitcoin portfolio held by the electric vehicle maker as of December 31 was $1.99 billion.

In its annual filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Tesla, which had invested $1.5 billion in Bitcoin last year, said it recorded some $101 million in impairment losses last year due to Bitcoin’s depreciation.

Tesla had also briefly accepted cryptocurrency as payment for the sale of certain products. However, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has stopped accepting the digital currency, citing environmental concerns around Bitcoin mining.

The company said it made $128 million in divestments from Bitcoin after selling a portion of its holdings in March. Since then, Tesla has not disclosed any changes to its Bitcoin holdings.
