This is how you can win 400 euros thanks to this bank

The beginning of a new year brings with it the traditional January slope after Christmas. To fight against it and achieve an extra income, in this 2024, Banco Santander has launched an interesting and very tempting offer, as it gives you the opportunity to get up to 400 euros in cash. However, this opportunity has an expiration date, as the promotion is going to be valid only until April 5.

How to get the 400 euros

The first step to take advantage of this offer is to open an Online Account at Banco Santander. But this is not the only condition that the bank sets you, as it also requires the direct debit of a salary or pension for a minimum value of 2,500 euros, in addition to the fixing of two monthly receipts in the same account. For those customers with salaries ranging between 600 and 2,500 euros, the bonus is reduced to 300 euros, instead of the 400 initially offered.

But that’s not all, since a 24-month permanence, two years of loyalty, is imposed as part of the requirements to be able to receive this bonus. In addition, it is very important to note that the bonuses received are subject to 19% withholding tax. This means that, even if the bonus is 400 or 300 euros, in the end the net amount to be received would be 324 or 243 euros, respectively.

Once the account is set up, Banco Santander will have to verify the information provided by the client and, once confirmed, will make the payment. The money will be delivered to your account in two stages: first, during the first 14 days, you will receive 243 euros net, followed by the remaining 81 euros net the following month.

It is important to note that the bank will assess each month whether customers continue to meet the salary, pension and income requirements to qualify for the bonus. If these criteria are not met on three or more occasions, the bank will take corrective measures, such as charging the account for an amount equivalent to the time of permanence not met.

Despite these requirements, opening an account at Banco Santander offers a number of advantages. The entity does not charge for the account, debit cards or even for making transfers. In addition, there are no fees for cash withdrawals at any of the 30,000 ATMs distributed globally by Santander.

The deadline for this opportunity is open, but it comes with certain conditions that future beneficiaries should keep in mind. Although the offer is tempting, permanence and monthly compliance are fundamental aspects to receive this bonus.

New benefits for the elderly

But this is not the only announcement from Banco Santander for this new year, this other one we bring you is exclusively for people over 65 years old. In order to provide wider and more effective access to its services for one of the most vulnerable sectors of society, Banco Santander has announced a series of privileges for retirees and pensioners in our country.

Through its Santander Senior program, the bank offers customers aged 65 and over a personalized telephone service that will be available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, without automatic intermediaries.

In addition, the bank has established a partnership with Correos Cash, which allows retirees and pensioners in the program to make their cash transactions easily and conveniently.

To further facilitate their transactions, Santander has highlighted the possibility of scheduling an appointment with a bank manager and accessing extended checkout hours until 2 p.m. at its branches.

As for the collection of pensions, Banco Santander, like other entities in Spain, offers the option of receiving the pension deposit in advance, starting on the 25th of each month, bringing it forward to Wednesday, January 24 for this month.

But it is not only about banking services. The entity offers a range of special insurances for its senior clients, among them:

  • Dependency Insurance
  • Single Premium Death Insurance
  • Senior Protection Insurance
  • My Home Senior Insurance

In addition to these coverages, the bank provides accident insurance that includes accident compensation, home assistance (companionship, home cleaning, shopping, errands and meal preparation) and professional medical services. These insurances are designed to provide security and peace of mind in the event of unforeseen situations or incidents that may arise.

Banco Santander’s initiative focused on customers over the age of 65 reflects a commitment to personalized attention and the well-being of this group, recognizing the importance of providing services tailored to their specific needs. This comprehensive range of services and insurance highlights the bank’s interest in providing financial and care solutions that are tailored to the realities and circumstances of its retired and pensioner customers.
