Too many months had passed without Activision give me reasons to talk to you about war zone 2, but not in the way I want. Throughout Call of Duty’s battle royale history, I’ve seen how various controversies have arisen around the game. due to certain elements considered as pay to win; something that will hold our attention in the next few lines.
A pay-to-win element in a game with micropayments, for those who do not know, is something that we can buy with real money and that gives us a clear advantage in the title; something that becomes an unfair situation for those who don’t want to do it or can’t afford it. Also; the new season 3 of Warzone 2 (whose main news I have already mentioned in this other article) came with the occasional controversy related to it all. I leave you with all the information below so you can understand what exactly I’m talking about.
Season 3 features a controversial pack that breaks Warzone 2’s DMZ mode
- As portal companions collected VGC, this controversy revolves around the DMZ mode
- The thing is, there’s a pack in the store known as Bomb Squad which allows us to have four operator slots instead of 3
- This implies that those who spending the 9€ that the plan costs will have a greater inventory capacity outside of games than those who do not
- Worse still, it looks like things aren’t going to stop there, given that some dataminers found references to future operators who would have great assets when starting games like a drone or the possibility of restarting
- However, It is not yet known if the latter will be paid or can be obtained for free (it is the latter which would make the most sense in my opinion)
What do you think of all this? I read you in the comments.
