NEW YORK – Authorities are looking for the suspect in the sexual assault of a Brooklyn woman after he dragged and assaulted her in the Sunset Park neighborhood, New York police said. They are now offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to his arrest.
The crime happened early Saturday morning, around 3 a.m., when authorities say the 49-year-old victim was stalked by the suspect, who approached him near 27th Street and Fifth Avenue, who started talking to him.
Then the alleged rapist pushed her to the ground and dragged her to a garage entrance where he sexually assaulted her, the uniformed woman said. He then beat her repeatedly until she escaped from the place.
The victim was seriously injured and was taken to hospital.
The suspect is described as a male, of medium build, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black bubble coat, black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
