Miami Beach police officials confirmed Friday the discovery of a body on the beaches of South Pointe Park where they were looking for a diver who was reported missing.
The body was found near the South Pointe Pier, authorities said, who did not provide any additional information regarding the identity of the deceased or the possible cause of death.
Authorities were looking for a diver who had been missing in the area since early this morning.
Police said they are investigating the matter, although they did not provide further details at this time.
