Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes says he doesn’t know who might have been responsible for the act against a space where he usually works with the community, and hopes it was just a coincidence.

“They’re not going to bully me or intimidate me.”

This is the message of Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes, after this Monday that an as yet unidentified subject attempted to enter another of his offices, as well as a truck he uses for work.

Reyes explains: “It is a coincidence that this is happening here after what happened at the town hall. We’ve had this office for a long time, and it’s one of the offices where we serve this area. »

On Monday of last week, Reyes had found his office at Miami City Hall with all of his belongings scattered…which led to a police operation and investigation into a possible burglary.

7 days later, history almost repeats itself but this time in a different way at the office located at 1415 SW 32nd Avenue.

“The video shows a person entering the park looking out the windows and trying to open and walks over to a truck and picks up one of the shovels, picks it up and tries to open the door of the truck and walks over. so does,” Reyes explains.

Although the suspect did not cause any damage to the interior, he left scratches on the window of the vehicle he was trying to open. Police arrived this morning to review security camera footage and investigate what happened.

For his part, the commissioner says he hopes that everything will soon be clarified, since he had never been the victim of this type of invasion in the space where he works on a daily basis.

“That they walk into an office and message me and not only can they message me that they walked into the office, but the pictures and what was of my family were all knocked down,” Reyes says.

According to Commissioner Reyes, this time his office did not suffer any type of damage. Now the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information that may assist authorities, you are urged to call the Miami Police Department.
