The camera captured the moment an as yet unknown subject walked between vehicles in the parking lot of a residential complex in Miramar. A few seconds later, the images show how the individual gets into a car and then flees.
A resident, victim of theft, says that what alarms him is that the person stole firearms from this vehicle and that it is not the first that has happened here.
This resident is one of the victims of the car thefts this weekend, but he chose not to show his face for fear that the administration of the place will take revenge for exposing the security.
He says his wife had various personal effects stolen from inside his vehicle: “When she opened her car, we realized they had come in and stolen clothes and jewelry.”
The victim added that the alleged thief got away with thousands of dollars in stolen items.
Another of the complaints from the residents of this neighborhood is: “Look: it’s 9:34 right now and it’s totally open, they say that’s one of the factors that affects them the most.”
The second is that the dividing bars in the parking lot are not that high
“They always say the front doors don’t work. They are always open at night and that worries me.
A problem that locals say has been going on for months. This particular incident happened around 4 a.m. Sunday in the Avalon neighborhood located in block 11361 of SW 32nd court in Miramar.
“We constantly see people coming in and out, suspicious people.”
City Uniform believes the suspect, who was wearing dark clothing, was also responsible for another car theft on the same day in the same community and also escaped with multiple firearms .
“Who knows what person will be out there with weapons stolen from that area. The door is always open at night and they don’t do anything to fix it.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case or the suspect’s whereabouts to contact Miramar Police.
