Destroyed, almost under the vehicle and against a fence, the bicycle on which a suspect wanted by the authorities was riding for allegedly shooting the driver of a car ended up falling.

The victim was driving a gray Nissan Maxima around 11 a.m. this Sunday on Northwest 27th Avenue and upon reaching the intersection with 48th Street, someone riding a bicycle shot him with a gun, leaving him injured at the hip.

Because of this gunshot wound, the driver lost control of the car and after driving several meters, he crushed his assailant against a fence.

Despite the violent blow, the shooter managed to flee on foot in a direction still unknown to Miami Dade police officers, responsible for the search for the man.

The search for this suspect expands in the area as the investigation progresses to establish why he fired.

His identity is unknown at this time as well as that of the man who was killed.

The victim is in stable condition after being rushed to the trauma unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

We were earlier at the scene and the vehicle had already been removed while the damage to private property that this car and the suspect’s bike ended up against was estimated.

Any information the community has in the areas surrounding the incident will be used for the investigation, so you may share it with the Miami-Dade Police.
