But the thing did not stop there, far from it! Karol G revealed the truth about his meeting with Rihanna. And what a story!
On February 12, Rihanna performed at the Super Bowl halftime show: America’s biggest TV event. The twelve-minute performance marked the Barbadian star’s return to the stage and, of course, fans didn’t want to miss a single detail.
Karol G, a true Rihanna fan, wanted to take advantage of it and book a box to see the performance. Of course, it didn’t turn out the way she wanted. At least at the start.
Karol G’s Mistake He Ended Up Dating Rihanna For
Karol G started by telling the Fan Event that he had asked his team to take a box to enjoy Rihanna’s show. The problem is, when he arrived, he realized he was sitting on the other side of Rihanna’s performance.
“That side of the stage wasn’t our turn. I panicked and got super sad. It made me so sad that I wanted to leave. For some reason in life, this problem reached the ears of his manager. He sends me to the suite (box) where his family was,” recalls Karol G.
At the end of the show, Karol G decided to go to the airport. And it is that she had only gone to see the American star. “When I got to the plane, my manager called me and told me there was a chance I would meet her if I came back”keep saying.
Karol G didn’t think about it for a second and turned around. “It took me an hour and 28 minutes. I counted. For some reason, her team told her what had happened and she wanted to meet me”keep explaining.
“If the sequel error hadn’t happened to me, I wouldn’t have met her, but it did happen to me and I ended up meeting her,” he concludes. A series of catastrophic misfortunes that had a happy ending.
The moment “What a chimba”
Of course, this anecdote ended with a post from the two stars that is already part of pop history. Well, Karol G also shared how he ended up making Rihanna say a very Colombian expression: “What the hell!”
“I needed to tell him everything in Spanish. If my English is reduced, then absolutely nothing came out, and I said ‘what a chimba’“He started counting. That’s when the Umbrella singer asked him what that expression meant. “I told him ‘chimba’ was like ‘great’, but more chimba,” he said. he explained, laughing.
It was then that the one from Barbados learned the expression and wanted to say it with the bichota. Without a doubt, a moment that neither Karol nor her fans will ever forget.
