The prosecution has already lodged a complaint against the Barcelona and against Josep María Bartomeu and Sandro Rosellformer presidents of the club, for payments of more than 7 million euros to Enriquez Negreira, who was vice-president of referees.
The complaint is also addressed to Oscar Grau and Albert Solerex-directors of Barça, and against Negreira himself.
In its conclusions, the Public Prosecutor’s Office concludes that “Barça maintained a verbal agreement with Negreira to execute actions tending to favor Barcelona in the decision-making of the referees in the matches played by the club, and therefore in the results of the competitions”.
Moreover, he points out that the The appointment of referees for each match was made by the CTAwhere Negreira was vice president.
Payments of more than 7.3 million euros between 2001 and 2018. The Public Prosecutor’s Office only incurs criminal liability in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018. At that time, Rossell and Bartomeu were presidents of the club.
Payments that were not approved by anyone in the club: “This was actual compensation not provided for in the club’s statutes or approved by the General assembly. In short, these perceptions had no legal or statutory basis.”
The prosecutor’s complaint says that two Negreira companies issued invoices to Barça “without the same responding to any actual service or technical advisory services”and clarifies that he charged Barca 2,971,673.01 euros between 2014 and 2018.
