You know what’s the worst? Who just came to Netflix to destroy your childhood memories, because you’ll finally find out that Power Rangers was a bad and forgettable series.

I suppose that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Yesterday, Today, and Forever It’s an exercise in nostalgia retrieval that will work for the most loyal fans of this show that swept through the 90s, with 3 seasons and over 150 episodes. It is appreciated that they come back David Yost Walter Emmanuel Jones there Catherine Sutherlandamong other things, because it shows that the objective was to prolong this heritage and bring it closer to a whole new generation.

But to be very honest, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Yesterday, Today & Always is an ugly mid-length film you can’t find anywhere:

• I start with the most obvious. the CGI: the special effects are perhaps an homage to those used in the series of the 90s, but are ineligible in a 2022 project. There are series B and Z productions that look better.
• The scenario… A fanfic written by a 3-year-old child would have been more interesting than this cocktail of outdated ideas that have been seen a thousand times.
• The cast seems lostas if they knew they were on board a sinking ship.
• The worst of the worst? The lost potential to bring the Power Rangers back to do something much better than an epilogue to the classic 90s series.

In summary, I think there’s a huge difference between paying homage to the Power Rangers and making it ridiculous, seedy and tacky. You may find yourself addicted to this Netflix proposition as long as you jump through the hoops of pitiful CGI and a script written by a 3-year-old, but the power rangers deserved a to come back best quality.
